Carbon & sustainability translation

From energy saved to climate impact

Annual electricity avoided if identified measures are implemented → Scope-2 CO₂ avoided → real-world equivalents

0.45 kg CO₂ / kWh Pakistan grid ≈ 61% fossil — adjust to your latest official Scope-2 factor.

Where the savings come from

Identified PKR/year by measure, across the full audits

Identified savings by client

PKR/year headline potential per audit

Efficiency gap surfaced

Measured Specific Energy Ratio vs benchmark (lower is better)

Air-leakage burden found

Wasted power (kW) & tagged leak points per plant

ISO 11011 methodology & ESG value

Assessment completeness

ISO 11011 elements covered across all audits

How this maps to ESG reporting

Auditable, methodology-backed evidence

Environmental

  • Quantified energy & Scope-2 CO₂ reduction per site
  • Air-leakage & pressure waste eliminated
  • Measured, not estimated (sensor-based flow metering)

Governance

  • ISO 11011:2013 assessment methodology
  • ISO 8573-1 air-quality classification
  • Traceable data trail per finding for assurance

Cost & bottom line

  • Lower kWh/m³ (SER) → direct production-cost cut
  • Reduced compressor wear & maintenance
  • Payback-ready, prioritised action list

Further identified upside — beyond the headline

Capital / technology measures the audits flagged separately (excluded from the headline to avoid double-counting): the largest single opportunity is a two-stage oil-free compressor switch at Hilal Foods modelled at ~PKR 61.8M/year. Compressor-efficiency restoration across the full audits carries additional overlapping potential. These are shown as opportunity, not banked savings.

Methodology & assumptions. Savings are the ISO 11011 identified annual potential from each audit's headline (leakage, pressure, off-load, cleaning-air and dryer measures); the compressor efficiency-evaluation figure is held out of headlines to prevent double-counting with technology-upgrade options. Energy avoided = each audit's headline PKR ÷ that audit's own electricity rate (14–60 PKR/kWh across the set). CO₂ avoided = energy × grid factor (default 0.45 kg CO₂/kWh, location-based Scope 2; Pakistan grid ≈ 61% fossil per IEA/national data — replace with your official factor for formal reporting). Equivalents: 1 mature tree ≈ 21 kg CO₂/yr; 1 passenger car ≈ 4.6 t CO₂/yr. Realised impact depends on client implementation and post-works re-verification. Source of record: the AirAudit ISO 11011 database (122 audits reconciled to source to date; each headline traces to its source DAR).
